A MAN aged 60 has been savagely beaten to death as cops arrest three men on suspicion of murder.
Police were called just after midnight on August 14 after reports of a fight at the junction of Ford Road and Broad Street in Dagenham, East London.
Officers attended the scene along with the London Ambulance Service but, despite the best efforts of emergency workers, a 60-year-old man died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
A 26-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Both men remain in police custody at this time.
A third man aged 23, has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and also remains in police custody.
The murder investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn said: “At this stage we believe an altercation happened between a group of men and the victim, who was with a friend.
