MACHINE Gun Kelly has been seen slapping the microphone out the hand of a reporter after he was quizzed over his VMAs brawl.
The rap star walked away from the interview after being asked about his clash with MMA fighting giant Conor McGregor on the red carpet.
Machine Gun Kelly, 31, real name is Colson Barker, almost came to blows on MTV’s Video Music Awards red carpet on Sunday night.
Reports suggested that Conor, 33, had been denied a photograph with the musician and his girlfriend Megan Fox, and tempers got out of control.
The UFC fighter threw his drink at MGK and the brunette bombshell before throwing his fists and being held back by security.
Conor was reportedly escorted out of the venue as the red carpet walk-through continued, but made it back in time for the start of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, rap star MGK was was quizzed over the brawl by reporter from Variety eagerly waiting on the sidelines to know more about the feud.
But he and girlfriend Megan, 35, were having none of it – as MGK slapped the microphone out the hands of a reporter asking about the brawl.
In a Twitter video, a reporter could be heard asking: “They just told me you had a little scuffle with Conor McGregor on the carpet. What happened?”
Kelly let out a big sigh, throwing his head back, before slamming his palm down on the microphone and storming off.
“Machine Gun Kelly wouldn’t talk about his scuffle with UFC champ Conor McGregor before the VMAs,” Variety wrote under the video on Twitter.
Last night, an eyewitness told TMZ that Conor asked MGK for a photo but he refused, and it escalated into the actor shoving the UFC fighter.
A separate source told Page Six: “They scuffled then it settled down and Conor went for him again.”
Another eyewitness told the website that security had to get involved and “everyone was screaming” as “security was had trouble holding him back.”
A rep for Conor denied the claims and told The Sun that the star “did not instigate the incident and was never kicked out of the building.”
Megan appeared to be wearing an engagement ring while supporting the musician as he prepared for MTV’s Video Music Awards.
Additionally, the insider teased that the two might make a “surprise announcement” during the rapper’s performance at the awards show.
Megan and MGK were believed to be an item back in May of 2020, while they publicly confirmed their relationship the following month.
The couple had met on the set of their thriller. Midnight in the Switchgrass.
The Jennifer’s Body actress was previously married to Brian Austin Green, 48, from 2010-2020.
The former couple shares three sons together: Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, five.
ROAD TO RECOVERY
Recently, Conor has been currently nursing the broken tibia he suffered in the first round of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, 32.
He had undergone successful surgery and already started training once again for his return, where he has vowed to win UFC gold again.
The MMA fighter lashed out on social media in order to “deal with losing these fights” since his most recent defeat.
Former UFC champion and British legend Michael Bisping theorized to MMAFighting that Conor “has to believe in his mind that he was going to turn it around in the second round if the leg hadn’t got broken.
“Because if he doesn’t do that, if he accepts ‘I was getting my ass kicked and I probably would have been finished,’ then it’s a chink in the armor.
“It’s starting to accept that I’m not one of the best in the world.”
